This tour will make you live a wonderful motorcycle experience in Zambia, unique and unforgettable, in a Country that is still barely touched by international tourism. A trail that combines the joy of a motorcycle tour and the emotions of game viewing in Zambian national parks.

In this unique motorcycle tour you will visit one of the wildest and largest national park of the whole Africa, Kafue National Park in Zambia where we will conduct Game drives on board of our specially modified 4×4 support vehicles.

Nights are spent camping in the National Park (Camping will be done in appropriate areas with ablution blocks and warm showers) while all meals are prepared by the accompanying chef. In Lusaka we will be lodging in a good level accommodation.

Motorcycles and assistance included in the organization:

We will be using our “Big five” motorcycles, reliable Honda Transalp 600cc completely refurbished and properly equipped for on- and off-road stretches.
The group will be led by a motorcycle-riding professional guide and will be followed by a 4×4 support vehicle that will offer assistance, carry all luggage and camping gear, as well as motorcycle passengers who might decide to “take it easy” for a day or two.
The tour starts and ends in Lusaka.

Day 1: Lusaka

Upon arrival at Lusaka international airport, you will be assisted in final preparations (local SIM card, forex, etc.) before your Safari starts. Transfer to a good level lodge. Check-in and delivery of the motorcycles. Time available for relaxing. Dinner not included.

Day 2: Mayukuyuku – Kafue National Park

Breakfast, followed by a stretch of 130km of tarmac road the Gate of the Kafue National Park. We will continue on the main tarmac road across the park for approximately 100km before branching off for Mayukuyuku, a wonderful campsite in a very unspoiled area on the shores of the Kafue river. Here we will set up the camp and have lunch. Afternoon game-drive, dinner prepared by our accompanying chef on the campfire and night camping.

Day 3: Mayukuyuku – Kafue National Park

Day entirely dedicated to game viewing activities in the Park on board of our support vehicle, with a sunrise and an afternoon game-drives. All meals prepared by our accompanying chef and nights camping around the fire.

Day 4: Kasabushi – Kafue National Park

In the morning, breakfast followed by dismantling of the camp. We will then continue riding through the national park, this time using the Spinal Road inside the Park for a stretch of gravel trail about 80km long, where anything can happen! It’s important to pay attention both to the road (Gravel and corrugated, usually quite negotiable, but with some tricky stretches) and to the potentially harmful wild animals that we can encounter along the way! We will reach Kasabushi in the late morning and set-up camp in a fully equipped area with hot showers and toilets. Lunch in camp and afternoon sunset cruise among the rapids of the Kafue river.

Day 5: Kasabushi – Kafue National Park

Full day Game drive on the dry bed of the Shishamba river, including a wild picnic lunch inside the park. Return to camp at sunset, dinner and night camping by the fire

Day 6: Lago Ithezi-thezhi – Kafue National Park

In the morning, breakfast followed by dismantling of the camp. We will then continue riding along the Spinal Road inside the Park for a stretch of gravel trail about 100km long. We will reach the shores of Lake Itezhi-thezhi in the late morning and set-up camp in a fully equipped area with hot showers and toilets at Hippo Bay Camp. Lunch in camp and afternoon Game drive.

Day 7: Kafue National Park

Day entirely dedicated to game viewing activities in the Park on board of our support vehicle, with a sunrise and an afternoon game-drives. All meals prepared by our accompanying chef and nights camping around the fire.

Day 8: Lusaka

After breakfast we will leave the Kafue National Park and ride for approximately 130km on a large and well done gravel road, followed by 280km of tarmac road to Lusaka. Lunch break along the way. Arrival is expected in the early afternoon. Check in at a lodge and time available for relaxing and preparation of the luggage. Dinner in Lusaka for a farewell to Zambia.

Breakfast and return of the motorcycles. Airport transfer in time for your international flight. End of arrangements
