A unique Safari to explore Lower Zambezi National Park in most complete and adventurous way: 2 days Canoeing Safari camping on the islands in the middle of the river, boating and by car on breath-taking Game Drives.
Accommodation is camping in the park and lodging in the main cities.
You will be followed by a professional guide and a bush chef to maximize your experience.

 Day 1: Lusaka

Upon arrival at Lusaka international airport, you will be assisted in final preparations (local SIM card, forex, etc.) before your Safari starts. Transfer to a good level lodge. Dinner in Lusaka not included.

Day 2: Lower Zambezi valley

The Lower Zambezi Valley is renowned for its breath-taking views and for the abundance of wildlife that lives along the shores of the Zambezi river. This valley hosts both the Lower Zambezi National Park (on the Zambian shores) and Mana Pools National Park (on the Zimbabwean shores) creating a vast protected area where animals are free to roam without boundaries. This area deserves to be visited both by river and by land in order to fully understand the wild beauty of this place. Lower Zambezi National Park is the most recent park in Zambia and one of the wildest and most picturesque in the whole Africa.

Morning departure from Lusaka towards Chirundu, where we will stop to visit the site of the Fossil forest. We will then proceed to Kiambi Safari Lodge and check in in beautiful, en-suite safari tents overlooking the Zambezi river. Lunch at the lodge and afternoon sunset cruise on the Zambezi river. Dinner at the lodge and night lodging.

Days 3-4: Lower Zambezi Valley – Canoeing Safari

After breakfast, we will start a 2-days canoeing safari in the Zambezi river for a real explorer adventure! You will be followed by a support boat that will carry all luggage and camping gear, so you will be free to paddle without carrying any extra weight. Lunch stop on an island in the middle of the river and you will continue in the afternoon canoeing following the current of the river. At sunset your guides will set up camp on an island without electricity nor running water and you will have dinner by the fire before resting in a camping tent. The following morning you will continue paddling in the same way, among hippos, crocodiles, elephants and the stunning birdlife and wildlife that populates the Zambezi river. In the afternoon, you will reach another island for your second night of wild camping.

Days 5: Lower Zambezi national park

Very early wake and departure for a short boat transfer to the shores of the river, where you will reconvene with your safari vehicle and continue to the Lower Zambezi National Park gate. Full-day game drive in the Lower Zambezi National Park with a pic-nic lunch in the park. In the afternoon, exit the park and go to Lower Zambezi Lodge, where you will spend the night lodging. All meals prepared by our accompanying cook and nights lodging.

Days 6: Lower Zambezi national park

Very early wake and departure for a Full-day game drive in the Lower Zambezi National Park with a pic-nic lunch in the park. You will be back at the lodge before sunset and spend the night lodging.

Day 7: Lusaka

Breakfast and return trip to Lusaka (5 to 6 hours of Village trails and tarmac road), where we plan to arrive around lunch time. Lunch (own arrangements) in Lusaka and check in at a good level hotel at the outskirts of the city. Own arrangements for dinner at the lodge. Night lodging

Day 8: Departure

Based on your return flight, you will be transferred to the airport. End of arrangements.
